Access to the facility is strictly limited using a system of passcodes and keycards, and while owners are encouraged to take their vehicles on outings, the process for doing so is carefully controlled.

Sophisticated monitoring of property and clientele is engaged 24/7/365. Although owners enjoy unlimited access to vehicles during business hours or by appointment, identity is carefully verified before entry is granted. Discretion is fundamental to our approach. While the location is readily accessible from anywhere in the Detroit metropolitan area, there is no outside identification to indicate the important contents inside.

The Elmwood Garage concept came to life in 2017, when a passionate automotive professional recognized the need for such a facility. As long-time car buffs, our team’s mission is collecting, preserving, and enjoying a wide range of interesting and valuable automobiles.

Expansion plans are in place, including the addition of lifts and extended service offerings. The fact is, we never met a car – or truck or van or motorcycle or other wheeled conveyance – we didn’t like, whatever the make, model, year, color, styling, or horses under the hood.
